Inspired by Queen Elizabeth II 60th Diamond Jubilee
Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 4:44PM

Her Majesty The Queen has been a reining favorite and consistently
gets high approval ratings by her subjects in her kingdom.
The Queen remains gracefully hidden, and has never given a press interview.
Her style is monochromatic 100%.
Monochromatic is boring you say?
Challenge that idea by looking at history and seeing how monochromatic
clothing has stood the test of time and still looks fresh.

The Queen is well known for wearing overcoats with matching hats
that allow her to been seen easily in a crowd.
She skillfully uses one color to stand out above the rest of her subjects.
I can't help but get inspired by monochromatic consistency that obviously works for a lifetime.

I had no idea that the Queen's Jubilee year was in 2012
when I was in New York a few weeks ago.
But I'm quite delighted now that I went WILD for this frock
from Italy, purchased in Brooklyn.
When I saw it I said, "I HAVE to have this coat!"
I think the Queen might approve of the style and color of this elegant topper.

I bought the pumps below just because I thought they were the cutest
pumps on earth. After I bought the coat I imagined they were the pumps to match.
I then decided they are too busy for a conservative Queen to wear.
I say, "Let her subjects wear them instead, allowing them to
feel a bit royal."

The bracelet is a knock me out piece I got in New York.
I wish you could see it in person because the camera is not doing it any justice.
I love how my semi-impulsive fashion purchases all come together like
a wonderful personal style puzzle that is waiting to be completed (eventually).

The feel of this coat is so fabulous I can't describe it.
It might be that in heaven, they wear coats like this. :-)

I put on my "Stuart W. loves" again, because they seem to go with everything these days.

This hat is one of several I purchased from a woman who had them
all for sale on Etsy for $49.95 TOTAL.
It was SEVEN hats.
They are all in pristine condition, it was such a steal!

Congratulations to the Queen on her 60th Diamond Jubilee!
