Meeting Indiana Jones At the Tooth Soap® Factory

If I ever met Indy Jones for a sumptuous lunch at the Tooth Soap® Factory,

(yes, I would call him "Indy"), I would show up in this: A LONG SKIRT.

For over a decade LONG SKIRTS have dominated my closet.

I call them long skirts because that is what they are to me.

Once I assign the name "MAXI", they will become trendy

and since I don't want them to ever go out of style, I call them

what they are which is a truly LONG SKIRT.  :-)

I used to wear this skirt to the factory many years ago, it is probably 10 years old.

I also stomped those factory floors while wearing these same Frye boots.

I made Tooth Soap®, packaged up the boxes and took them

to the post office while wearing long skirts and boots.

I even wore this jacket at the factory too.

Here is a pic taken six years ago and yes, we all wear HAIR NETS:

See what I mean? I'm wearing a long skirt again.

I don't have this skirt anymore or the lace up boots.

I used to love them though!

I have a serious thing about BOOTS, btw.

The cooler months will reveal my secret boot weirdness.

Isn't the Tooth Soap® factory so lovely?

I love going there. It smells like peppermint

the minute you walk into the door. I haven't

been there in over three years. Sounds strange right?

I have been running the business from the East Coast

for some time now. The truth is, I have AMAZING people

working with me; they handle everything. They are

so awesome, I love my staff and am so very fortunate to have them!

I made this bracelet from the Copperhead snake I killed

in my garden a few months ago. I also made some boots and

some seat covers for my car.  Just kidding. :-)

Let's face it, Indiana Jones knows CHANEL is forever,

so I had to wear them.

The hat is the Real Deal Brazil.

It's made from recycled tarps from Brazilian cargo trucks.

They are attempting to cut down on wasting resources

by manufacturing this way.

Tooth Soap® cares about resources too, that's why

we stopped using palm oil in our soap many years ago.

Thank you so much for joining me today.

Now you know what to wear when you meet Indy. :-)

See you next time!

You are so darn cute! I love everything in this post. Everything on YOU is fabulous! You really made that bracelet from a snake you killed? For real? You are my kind of lady!

Now I'm getting even more curious about the Tooth Soap. Did you start the business up yourself?

this looks amazing, i love the textures used. Xo Megan

Love it! And you are braver than Indiana Jones if you killed a snake--too funny (cracked me up). This look reminds me of vintage Ralph Lauren out of the late 80s or early 90s...or even some of the early fashions shown in "Victoria" magazine in the 80s.

So I didn't kill the snake per say... the Hippie assistant found it and took care of it. Now that you know I didn't kill the snake, it sort of ruins the whole DIY project I had lined up. :-)
PS: I almost killed a snake once with a shovel and I accidentally ran over a large snake in Houston (in 2008).

LOVE the outfit!! I need to look for more long skirts and i definitely need vintage frye bootsQQ

I love your outfit, but I especially love your purse! It's so cool.
It seems you're the person behind this tooth soap I keep reading about. I have to go check it out now.

This outfit looks so rich and Ralph Lauren-ish.
I love boots too, can't wait to see what styles you have.

Fun, funky and classy! I too have worn 'long' skirts for years, no matter the trends. I love the leather jacket with the contrast of the white blouse. And the hat sloping gently over one eye! You are always a delightful surprise!

I would wear this entire outfit verbatim. Absolute perfection. I will never, ever give up my long skirts, maxis, what ever you want to call them.. Boots too. Those harness boots are to die for. Thank you for my glorious glimpse at fall!!!!

I don't know, I'm seeing a bit of my friend Mr. Eastwood here too. But Indy is so much more adventurous. If Clint found that snake he would have shot it with a magnum and then what could you make out of it? Indy would have strangled it with his lasso. I'm sure you did the deed with your bare manicured hands. Maybe with the remaining scraps you can make a kayak skin, very couture. You look awesome here! I like your LONG skirt description. And I love how you have your emergency Tooth Soap (TM) strapped in for last-minute Andes trekking with Indy. What a great business!

Love this post and all of the brand names you are wearing. You have 'true' style and would totally make a statement just by walking into a building. I'm a lover of hats too.... I'll post my favorite one on my blog soon. Enjoy your day! It's rainy here in Virginia this morning so maybe I'll wear my favorite hat when I go out later today. :-))

What a gorgeous outfit! I especially love the leather jacket! Aren't you just the girl of Indy's dreams - a snake killing woman who knows how to wear a hat!

There is nothing so pleasing as a worn-in leather jacket. You have great style.

Do my eye deceive me? You've gone frosty blond? Are you having more fun? Certainly looks that way, in your dashing ensemble!

Funny and Fabulous Rachel!
This reminds me of my fav designer Ralph Lauren...you look absolutely stunning!

Indy would recognize a kindred soul immediately! Love the notion that you had killed a copperhead in the backyard and had the presence of mind to skin it too!

Gorgeous outfit, very nice.
