Mixing High and Low

Linking to Patti at Not Dead Yet Style!

The outfit today is inspired by my free ranging hens!

See the top of my head?

It's like chicken tail feathers!

I tell you, these D & G shoes go with everything!

TEXTURE anyone?

Jacket is Chanel.

Retail price was $3650, but I paid only $499.

This is the high.

The skirt is several years old, from Talbots.

This skirt could never have imagined it would be on a blog

and paired with a Chanel jacket in 2012.

You just never know what life has in store for you.

The groovy necklace was a thrift pick.

Total price: $6

This is the low...

Hair Hat matches the orange in the jacket

and the shades compliment with housefly appeal.

Bag (that looks like chicken skin up close) is by Brighton.

I bought it impulsively when I was at the Atlanta airport.

Thank you for joining me today.

See you next time!

I like the gloves, they would look good with this polkadot dress I have ..I heard that polkadots are all the rage in the UK right now. :)

You look great here! And even though you refer to your head as chicken feathers, you're still stylin!

Thank you Joni!

Inspired by chickens! Woman, you have endless style. The shoes are TDF.

I like the Chanel, of course. I also like the wig - her styles were my favorite when my mom was trying on wigs during her chemo.

Kathleen, my mother wore wigs too when going through chemo. She also wore them when she was younger. I remember being a little girl and being confused at my mother's instantly different hair styles and colors. She wore wigs regularly in the 60's & 70's. When she wasn't wearing wigs, she was coloring her hair. :-)

Oh my god - you have free range chickens! How cool are you?!?!
I LOVE that you were inspired by them, of all things :) Those textures are fantastic together!
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment (though how you wound up at a post from January, I'll never know) lol

Beautiful outfit. Thank you for sharing the photos of the jacket. The lining is just gorgeous.I'd love to see and touch a real Chanel jacket someday.

I love your chicken head! In fact, I had one today too - according to someone near and dear to me... Your thrifted finds are like treasure! You have mixed everything up exquisitely. You always amaze.
