Polka Dot, Color and Flavor Pop
Friday, May 25, 2012 at 9:27AM It is time to harvest more lemon cucumbers and this morning my little cotton navy and white polka dot shirt was asking to be worn.

I am obsessed with my black pleated skirt this week. Everything matches, even this shirt!

With a red flat to match, I am ready to pick those fruits!

Seams...
of course....

Winston, my Greater Swiss Mountain Puppy.
Yes, he is a 65 pound puppy with another 65 pounds to go.

Oh Mommy, I love your shoes so much! Can I chew on these later?

Lemon cucumbers!
They taste like regular cucumbers but put a POP of color in the salad!
You know, like we do with our shoes and handbags in our "style".

Green pop of color...

Purple pop of color...

Fresh basil from the aquaponic rocks for a flavor POP and POW in my pesto!

I haven't mentioned this yet, but I am a crazy cook.
I love to COOK!
I cook up a storm every week!
With that said, here is a Basil Dripping Sauce recipe I am going to make today.
Basil is an excellent heavy metal detoxifier and this sauce will do your body good
and pop delicious flavor into your meals.
Dripping Sauces that Detox - Basil
1 cup of herb leaves
Extra Virgin Ollive Oil
Lemon juice or organic Apple Cider vinegar
a good salt
crushed red pepper
garlic
Blend all the ingredients in a Vitamix or other heavy duty blender until smooth.
The sauce is meant to be runny.
Use as a dressing for salads or as a drippy dip.
Enjoy!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and stay safe!
