Lace and the Confused Bootie
Monday, May 14, 2012 at 12:00AM
Chicken chores were done so I had time to dress up and put on make-up!

I was feeling a bit light and dark today, so I chose black and gold.

These poor booties appear to be terribly confused. They want to be a bootie but
can't help but be a Mary Jane (times two). They seem to be birthed out of a marriage
between a rocker and a fancy country girl obsessed with wingtips.

Goofy look on my face. What am I looking at? Oh yeah, that's right, I am posing...

Citrine and gold...

If I could split these shoes and make them a partnership,
half bootie and half Mary Jane, I would say the booties have
respect for Mary Jane. See how the booties open from the back,
so Mary Jane can't see when I put my foot in from behind.
No need to make Mary Jane feel insecure about entry;
her buckles are working perfectly.

I don't know what I was doing here with my hands.
Why was I facing the wall anyway?
Another post-menopausal moment most likely.
So dorky, but I had to post it in hopes it might crack you up.
Also, I have coined a new DO and will share exacltly how I did it.
How to achieve the new and very 'in' trend of "Puff Ball" hair look
(as shown above and seen on StyleMentor.US):
1. Make a pony tail.
2. Put on a wig making sure the pony tail is balled up at the back of your head.
3. Adjust the wig to get the perfect Puff Ball look. Add spray to keep it in place if desired.
4. Enjoy all the compliments from your friends and family.
5. When asked how you achieved the perfection of Puff Ball, refer them to StyleMentor.US.

See how I am looking to the side... like I am really looking at something?
That is just fake, totally fake.

Such a weird look on my face in this shot that I had to cut off my head.
I love being in charge of the editing on this blog.

The stockings are peeking out here because I keep them loose around the toes.
Nothing worse than choking tootsies.

Just a little tucking in here...

I am afraid I am faking it again here. I pretend to be interested in the sky but
really I am looking at the cob webs that need to be cleaned.

If you haven't guessed by now, I have a slight picture snappy shoe obsession.
Just a little one.

It is under contol.
Really. :-)

You are just stunning in this outfit. What wonderful shoes!
Helen, I just started wearing high heels again after not wearing them for almost a decade. It was strange at first, but I seem to like it again. I won't lie and say flats are not the most comfortable because they are, but there is something about that high heel...
Those are some killer shoes.
You're gorgeous and funny! Why have I never seen your blog before? Well, I'll definitely be back!
By the way, if you hadn't poked fun at yourself, we'd all just be thinking how chic and elegant you look in the pics. :)
